About

Sensoria is a few cats that want to bring the best possible music to Toronto and re-create the best party with all your best friends every month. This is strictly about maximizing the music experience, for all the senses.

In the late summer of 2007, Andrew Gray (Sidenote) waved good-bye to Toronto and his residency at Thymeless for a year to teach, travel and DJ in Europe. He played alongside Skream, and countless others along all the corners of Europe. During this time, Quim was throwing drum n bass after-hours events. No one had done that in years. She was also hosting a Casual Sex Monthly that focussed on exposing people to drum n bass, dubstep & house in a more relaxed atmosphere . Even if it often turned very messy. In the late summer of 2008, Andrew returned to Toronto and Quim was ready for something new. The words came out simultaneously: “I wanna throw jams that bring the ultimate sensory overload to the music experience,” they both said.

So Sensoria was born and had its first outing on November 6, 2008. Sensoria is influenced by the bass movement, and focusses on dubstep, funky house, IDM, techno and grime, drum n bass and whatever else fits the curated aesthetic of love. Sensoria isn’t genre-specific, but about celebrating artists that are leading the progression of music. You might have never heard of the artists we are bringing in, but we promise you will always be pleasantly surprised.

We love you.
